Alex’s ‘grot spot’ campaign continues to hold the authorities to account for the state of the town. Whether you agree with the Civic Society that the town centre has become a “dump”, Alex is urging local authorities to crack down on potholes, graffiti, weeds, blocked drains, overgrown hedges and all other grot spots – and hand out fines to vandals.
